Jakes Divinity School students will enjoy a unique experience characteristic of the T.D. Jakes brand in partnership with fully accredited institutions of higher learning. The degree programs are fully accredited by virtue of JDS affiliation with the following universities: North Central University, Vanguard University, and Portland Seminary at George Fox University.

North Central University is a Christian university—a Bible-based and Pentecostal university, affiliated with the Assemblies of God – located in Minneapolis, MN. NCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. North Central University is an institutional participant in the NC-SARA initiative (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) and is listed on the NC-SARA website (www.nc-sara.org). NCU is approved by the Department of Education of the State of Minnesota for the training of veterans and war orphans under Public Laws 358, 634, 87-815. The university is approved by the United States Department of Justice for the training of foreign students.

NCU is approved by the State of Minnesota, Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, for the training of students with disability handicaps.

Vanguard University (VU) is also a private, coeducational, comprehensive university of liberal arts and professional studies that believes its Spirit-empowered Christian community provides a supportive and challenging environment to pursue quality education. The vision that guides the VUSC community is rooted in the University’s heritage as an institution of the Pentecostal tradition which was birthed out of the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles, California, at the turn of the twentieth century. VU is a community that encourages individual integrity and responsibility in accordance with biblical Christianity and its social and ethical implications. VU is a Christian university affiliated with the Southern California Network of the Assemblies of God. VU has maintained regional accreditation and membership in the Western Association of Schools and Colleges were granted since 1964.

Portland Seminary is part of George Fox University and is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).  The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities also certifies the seminary’s programs. This dual accreditation is maintained through George Fox University and assures students of the highest academic and professional standards. Because the Doctor of Ministry degree that is offered through JDS is powered by Portland Seminary, it is a fully accredited DMin.

Paul Quinn College is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). Paul Quinn College is affiliated with the Association of Institutions of Higher Education of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Jakes Divinity School (JDS) and Paul Quinn College (PQC) are developing a new Executive Master of Business Administration degree program for business executives, entrepreneurs, and Christian leaders. Pending Board approval, JDS and PQC will launch the eMBA program fall 2021. Because the eMBA degree is powered by Paul Quinn College in partnership with Jakes Divinity School, it will be a fully accredited eMBA.

As a new institution for higher learning, Jakes Divinity School has not yet achieved its own accreditation. The online degree offerings via JDS are fully accredited by virtue of our partnerships with fully accredited universities. JDS students are dually enrolled in Jakes Divinity School and the partnering institution that pairs with the degree program in which the student is enrolled. Students earn degrees from the partnering institutions as well as frame-worthy diplomas from Jakes Divinity School.
